Open Question: if you file bankrupcy can you still get a home inprovement loan?

I'm not on the loan (1098) but assumed all costs of the mortgage.
Based upon Reg § 1.163-1(b) I can claim mortgage interest on the loan eventhough I'm not on the loan.
Since selling the home a few years ago, I don't have my statements showing proof of payments.
If the person on the loan(1098) writes a letter and notorizes it stating that I've made on payments and is allowed to claim said deductions, would this be good enough. sent an inquiry to the bank asking if its possible to order statements. SInce its 2003. I pretty much shredded all this stuff.

Open Question: Do I have to be approved by a another bank if i have already been approved from another bank to buy a home.?

I am purchasing a REO home which requires to be approved by Country Wide Home Bank first, I dont want to use them i have my bank that i want to go through. My real estate agent is saying that if i dont get approved by Country Wide then they will just deny my offer because is not through there bank.
Is this true? Do I have any other options? My loan representative says I am not forced to go through another bank

Need to repay a family debt within 4 days for $50,000. We are to refinance home loan within the next 6 weeks and can then repay the $50,000. Family member has called debt in now. Please only respond if you are genuine as we do not need stress to be added by non genuine answers.
